History

Henny Penny was formed in 1957. Throughout its history, the company has always been privately held, dating back to 1957 when Chester Wagner patented the world’s first commercial pressure fryer and started the company. One of Chester’s earliest hires was Jack Cobb. In 1975, Jack become the primary owner of Henny Penny and served as President and CEO until 1997. Jack’s leadership, vision, and the culture he created enabled Henny Penny to grow into one of the most respected food service equipment manufacturers in the world. Steve Cobb became CEO in 1997 and led the company through a period of incredible growth. During Steve’s tenure, Henny Penny increased its physical presence in Eaton with both building expansions, building acquisitions and the construction of a new world headquarters. In 2014, the Company acquired Wood Stone a manufacturer of Hearth Stone Ovens located in Bellingham Washington. In addition to the domestic facilities, Henny Penny also has a manufacturing operation in Suzhou China and a sales and training facility in Paris, France.

OFE 291/OFG 391

It doesn’t get much more popular than crispy or extra crispy fried chicken. And that’s what the Henny Penny OFE 291/OFG 391 is all about. It’s the only open fryer on the market with the capacity to cook up to 21 lb (9.5 kg) of food in a single load. Plus, Henny Penny high reliability heat transfer means you’re never waiting—you’re cooking. Fast recovery, higher throughput, less down time. And all day long you’ll be saving on frying oil, energy, labor, and floor space compared to an equivalent number of smaller fryers from other manufacturers.
